A new tattoo and a crazy combination

Finding images that stay stuck in my head is something daily for me, but having the courage to just try out the look it suggests is not something daily (sadly for me). But it’s the truth. So when I saw this exquisite look from the latest street style shots, I just thought, the girl in the photo is a genius! She transformed a simple coat into a beautiful, weird and exotic belt; giving it the chance to be more than just a coat and for me, that’s the beautiful thing about fashion, that you can be whatever you want to be, that you can use and create an imaginary world for yourself, because rules are definitely not for fashion!

And in others news (Lol) I have a new tattoo, my number 2, I know you’re asking, where’s number 1? Well, it’s on the palm of my hand on my ring finger, a little heart, that means so much to me, but I’m not gonna talk about it (a little too personal). For the first time, I have a tattoo that I haven’t yet discovered what it means to me. It’s an anchor, specifically, a Danforth anchor, I don’t know, I guess that time will tell me what it means for my life. Have a great week!

Transparent + textures

I’m not gonna lie, It’s been hard to find new looks to show you on the blog, I don’t know if it’s that work has been a little hard the past few months, or that I just realized that I don’t have enough clothes, but I guess that this is the hard part about being a fashion blogger: finding new ways to mix and match your clothes (besides the time it takes to shoot the photos, and picking, organizing and editing them for the post) but leaving aside all these morning complaints, I’m really happy to be blogging again, but most important, to be constant in something I’m doing (you know, that’s really hard for me) So I’m gonna stop to complaining and give myself a little credit for it. Have a great weekend!

My pijama t-shirt

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I don’t have any rules when it comes to fashion, for example, a while ago I bought this pijama, and I was always thinking like, this could be a beautiful t-shirt to go out and have dinner with friends, but because I had separated my pijama from my “normal clothes” I always forgot to try it on. So when by accident, my mom put this t-shirt with my “normal clothes”, I remembered the idea, and thought “why not?” You don’t have to follow all the fashion rules, If you like it enough to go outin it, why not? If it’s men clothes, or a pijama or from your grandma, what’s really the problem? You have to dress for yourself and not for others. What do you think?

Stars and black

I know, Anna Wintour said that you should never wear a total black outfit, but you know what? I L O V E to wear a total black outfit, it’s like relaxing and safe for me, but at the same time, so beautiful, because you concentrate on creating a story with just textures and prints. And here is the result, what do you think? Have a great week!

Working in the fashion industry, has pushed me to be more creative in my daily style, for example this look was a mix that I never thought possible, but that’s the beautiful thing about fashion, you can be whatever you want to be, your sweet side, or your sexy side, or your party side, there’s unlimited possibilities. So, what side of you are you today?

I can tell you that my music style, isn’t really a “style” because I don’t have a specific one. I can listen to music from Chopin and No Clear Mind to Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. It’s weird, I know, but It’s what sounds beautiful to me. Hope you like this cover from Jojo, I’ve been so obsessed with it.

Cliché t-shirt

Buying cliché t-shirts is one of my multiple guilty pleasures, because I’m actually the girl that does the opposite, the one who buys what nobody likes, or who listens to the artist that everybody already listened to and got over, or the artist that nobody knows. I don’t know, it’s something weird for me, It’s like I don’t want to feel pressured into being in the exact same place that everybody’s at. But you know, every single rule has its exception, and those kinds of t-shirts are a cliché that I am not afraid to say, I LOVE. So buying this Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt from New York, was on the top of my list, and the I ❤ NY one too, and my Harvard Sweater… I guess that in the end, I have a lot of “the cliché girl” in me. Hope you like it!

Lace plus leopard

Mixing textures with more textures is one of my “rules” when I’m getting dressed (If I can call them rules) It’s more like a personal opinion, taste. So when I bought this beautiful lace shirt, I was thinking like “This piece can add beautiful twists to my wardrobe” and I wasn’t wrong, you remember THIS look? It’s more comfortable, relaxed, a little tomboy-ish, but in this look, It feels so chic, elegant, different. What do you think? Which one do you like more?

My golden skirt

I was so concentrated working on the blog, while my mom was watching miss universe, and Bang! Colombia is in the top 15, Colombia is in the top 5, Omg… Colombia won!! after 57 years we have a miss universe!

You can’t imagine how good this news is for my country, I know that it sound a little superficial, but when you live in a country where bad news happen 95% of the time, some good news like this, brings us happiness and strength to keep believing in change, in good things, in good news. I guess that this post is becoming a little weird, but it’s so exciting to finally see a Miss Universe from my country, Hope you like the look!

Hello short hair

Cycles, our life is about cycles, about changes, about mistakes, but even knowing that, I have to confess that I’m terrified when big changes come to my life, terrified is a beautiful word, I actually hate it! But I guess, that I don’t have absolute control about what’s going to happen in my life, so I just have to face everything and have the best attitude about it. You’re probably asking yourself, like “yeah! we also see that you cut your hair, but that’s not a big deal” and you’re right, but that’s just a piece of what’s going on in my life, because finally, I’m working at a fashion company, designing and learning about my passion.

For me it’s a big change, because it’s my second job ever and I’m extremely scared about what’s going to happen, so for the second time, I just have to breathe, think that everything is gonna be ok and that’s not ok, it’s because I have to learn about it. Oh, and my hair, yeah, It’s just hair, and I was obsessed with this cut for a long time. What do you think?

Mixing everything with everything

Having friends that love hair and make up is like the best help that I could ever have, because you know, I’m more like the girl who likes to dress well but really doesn’t know anything about make up and about hair I’m really blessed to have a hair that wakes up beautiful 6 days out of week (sunday is not really my thing, you know) so, when Lu (a friend from university) told me that she knew how to make curls that stay on all day long, yeah, ALL day long, I was like “Right girl, that’s never happened in 22 years” but of course, every rule has its exception, and finally, after 22 years I can tell you that a product exists that makes my dream hair stay up for ALL day hong, It’s called Tousle me softlyand by herbal essences I can assure you that If works for my super straight hair, it can help almost every type of hair. And what about you? Do you also have a dream hairstyle?

It’s all about m&m’s

I have to confess that this t-shirt is one of my beloved treasures from my latest trip to New York. I remember it like if was yesterday, being so sad because almost all the clothes that were for sale at the M&M store in times square weren’t really my type, but then I saw this unique and little weird t-shirt, and I thought “Finally, a souvenir from the M&M store”. Then I was like, ok, lets see the size. Ok, it’s too short, but why? Omg, it’s a baby t-shirt, really? But that actually didn’t stop me, I found that the baby sizes there were a little weird, because the large size fits me perfectly! Yeah! Hope you like it!

Loving my boy’s t-shirt

I remember when I discovered blogs for the first time, It was 4 years ago, my eyes were like fascinated, really, Im not exaggerating. The first one I discovered was Lookbook.nu, you probably know it, it’s a social media platform for bloggers and people who love to share their outfits and looks. And then I found this incredible inspiration, her name is Andy Torres (stylescrapbook), and everyone that knows me, knows that she is my favorite blogger and one of my strongest fashion icons.

Thanks to her, I think that Im braver now with fashion that I ever was, you know, like mixing crop tops with fancy dresses, or using 3 different prints in just one outfit. But the bravest thing that I loved and “imitated” from her is: Boy Clothes or Clothes for men. I’d never thought about it, I was like, a woman wearing men’s clothes? Women wear girl’s clothes. But It doesn’t have to be like that, you can shop or buy wathever you want, right? So why not buy a boy’s t-shirt, men’s pants or even men’s shoes? It’s actually one of the best things that you can do, because their clothes are extremely comfortable, timeless and basic, but at the same time, they’re different. I might sound crazy, but every time that I want to buy a t’shirt I look in the boy’s section first. Hope you like it!

Like Gatsby

Buying clothes that you just wear one time, has become my speciality lately 😦 I don’t know, I guess that I was so in love when I saw these flats, that I never thought that they would be so uncomfortable. I was thinking like “Omg! they look like they’re from the Louis Vuitton season with all those yellow and white squares”, and that’s all that mattered.

But you have to see me walking, It’s so funny, I guess that sometimes I love the design more that my own comfort, and this time, it was worth it! I love how the look becomes so chic and sophisticated with the hair, the beautiful dress, the flats and my new black and white coat. What do you think?

It’s my birthday

If you are reading this, it’s probably my birthday. I’m just kidding, I’m just saying that because I’m writing this the day before my birthday, and I have to confess that it’s a little awkward, not just because it’s not actually today, but because It’s always a weird day for me, you know, it’s like a little too much attention for my taste, but I guess that’s not so bad, at least It’s just one day.

I think this is when I’m supposed to say like, what an amazing year it has been and bla bla bla, but I just want to thank God for everything. For the good, for the bad and for the experience of having lived another year. So Happy birthday to me!

Grey over grey

Being obsessed with black clothes isn’t really a good thing, because sometimes (just sometimes) you look exactly like you did the day before, and that’s not the point of thinking about what to wear when you get dressed every single morning, right? So in trying to step out of my “black obsession”, I discovered that I loved mixing the same block color clothes in one outfit, like this one; a grey shirt with a grey coat.
This kind of combination creates beautiful layers that can be really useful when you want to bring out a texture, like the one the pants have. What do you think?
